Can shrimp catch little shrimp disease?

Thurman Buege: no they can't!

Rachal Osaki: Good question.. I'm going to research that :D oh and I fixed the question I posted walla go... So please answer..

Willetta Munhall: Swim bladder 'disease' is not infectious so I suspect the act of adding all the fish to the tank (even one that was cycled) shocked the environment and threw the biological balance that was established out of alignment. Not clear what type of test kit you use but I recommend something like API's test tube and solution bottles vs. the test strip type. I have found the test tube and solution checks to be much more reliable and easy to 'read' than the strip test. That test might show an ammonia problem. The other cause might be some bacteria or fungus but without any physical signs of such an ailment it is difficult to diagnose or treat....Show more

Dick Baumgarten: Fish and invertebrates do not transmit diseases to one another. They can get diseases on their own, but this is rare in ! the hobby. This thread is interesting... http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/ghost-shrimp/628...

Janeen Perona: Shrimp can't carry or catch fish diseases such as Ick if that is what you are wondering. There are some shrimp specific diseases, but you are highly unlikely to come across any in a home tankYou might find this interesting thoughhttp://aquanic.org/publicat/usda_rac/efs/srac/2600......Show more

Virgil Loatman: which one do you mean morgan?
