How to do laundry....?

Jene Licausi: Call your mother.

Azalee Ahrendes: for whites I fill the washer & put a cup of bleach in. Put whites in & let soak 30 minutes. Put machine on extra rinse, put in soap & do your load.

Carolin Southers: To get your whites to be white, just put two tablespoons of dish soap. It is also good at getting stains too.

Anibal Scheid: My basically concern approximately powdered laundry detergent substitute into to maintain it out of the attain of our small daughter. I caught her fidgeting with it interior the enormous field as though it have been play sand. So i began out determining to purchase my detergent in smaller packing containers, which i ought to shop up extreme. It did develop some mushy lumps in very humid climate, yet in any different case it appeared especially good. seem up the detergent producer on the information superhighway, and spot if their shopper help people could provide you a extra targeted answer....Show more

Star Gollni! ck: You're doing pretty well for someone who's never been shown how to do laundry. Some people don't have the slightest clue and wonder why their underwear is pink when their laundry is done.Cold water isn't good for everything simply because the temperature might be too cold for the detergent and powdered additives to dissolve. If you are using liquid detergent, this problem doesn't factor. Warm and Hot water also remove oils and grease betterIf you are washing towels you can wash them in lukewarm water, and add some vinegar and baking soda to the wash. This will neutralize and kill odors.Never add fabric softener to a towel rinse. Fabric softener is basically a type of perfumed oil mixed with water conditioners. It will hinder the absorbency of the towels and may irritate your skin.I never put anything that I especially want to keep lookin nice in the dryer. The dryer is very convenient, but it also shrinks and fades a lot of clothing. Especially if you have a tendency t! o overdry clothes. I always line dry my jeans. Also if you ha! ve a washer with a conventional center post agitator, be wary of what you wash on the normal cycle as opposed to the delicate cycles. They're very effective at cleaning, but can be very harsh on your clothes. On normal cycle, these washers have very high speed beater paddle agitation which only serves to beat up your clothes sooner than front loading washers or other washers with gentler agitation. As far as keeping your whites white... you got me lost on that one. You said you were using bleach, so I don't know what else you're supposed to do. For me, I avoid having white clothing unless it's underwear, cause white shows too much dirt and stains. I've never worried if my underwear was lily white or not. It's just not that important to me....Show more
