lots of health care debate questions?

Dorine Nurre: The debate is not between two side. It concerns a lot of citizens concerned that their president and congressman will not listen to them and then will ram something through without letting the public know what is in the bill? Everyone is speculating on leaks and trial balloons. It is very concerning that the committee members have taken up to 10 years salary as campaign contributions from the industry....Show more

Bennie Lantgen: The truth is - Republicans could not stop it if they tried. The American people stopped it so far. God willing, they will continue to do so. People have been duped. This whole rush to get the 1000 + page health care bill is ominous. Does it remind you of infomercials? "Buy now, don't wait! Don't listen to those who say it won't work." This bill contains hundreds of pork projects to get money to the constituents of the legislators. All the committees are adding costs to the bill. Remember the million med march? Those people star! ted to read the bill and marched on Washington. This will be a womb to the tomb medical coverage scheme. It will put out of business all private health care companies. All those people will lose jobs. It will undercut prices of all Union health care plans. Employers will be forced to stop private medical coverage. 85% of Americans now enjoy. These 85% of americans are satisfied with their current coverage. The small businesses in the United States who do not offer private health care coverage will be forced to pay huge sums of extra cash to the government as a form of taxes. Most will be forced out of business. Large corporations who do pay for health care costs will be able to pick up employees at a much lower cost because the unemployed will have no where else to look for a job. The large corporations will only offer government insurance coverage. This makes the Obama health care the largest corporate welfare scheme in the history of the world. Not only will large corporat! ions be able to hire workers to work harder for less. They wil! l be able to raise prices at will, because there will be no competition to undercut their prices. The employees will be forced to take health insurance rationed by the government. Young people who work for themselves will be hardest hit. They will be forced to buy insurance, or they will be fined $3.800. If they refuse to pay, they will be placed in a non compliant category and face a year imprisonment and up to $250,000 fine. Please note: The Obama administration is playing fast and furious with their accounting tricks. For instance - The plan will not go into effect until 3 years after tax hikes. The outward predictions are based on accounting 3 years of intake with no output in revenue. They assume present federal income levels in the middle of a recession, soon to be a depression. When this plan goes into effect, there will be massive unemployment. Costs will skyrocket due to 2 factors. The United states has been printing money like crazy runaway inflation is around the c! orner. The numbers of people who pay nothing for health insurance will be huge.I will just add one more thought:There exists in the science of economics, a theory I think everyone should learn - The law of unintended consequences - When the Government makes an unnatural change in an economic structure, the result will most often be the exact opposite of the goal of the change....Show more
