When I get a corn snake how long do i need to wait to feed it?

Toby Women: I usually say a week or at least five days from when you first get it, to let it settle in first. When you first get it, it's very stressed and you don't want to feed it then because there's a risk of it regurgitating it later. Pick a day that you want to be "feeding day" because then you can get on a schedule of feeding every week. If you just got it then you could pick Wednesday...? You pick the day. Also you want to wait until you really start handling him too for the same reasons. You'll have years to enjoy him, no need to rush.As for their "general care", your environment should be fully set up and running perfectly before you get the animal. You want to find flaws in the temperature or set up before he has to suffer from them. Also, you don't want to be moving things around and changing things right after you get him. You want him to settle in to his new home, get comfortable, and make him feel secure.Read a lot of care sheets....Show more

Shaunta Paap: i've got heard 24 hours, 40 8 hours, and seventy two hours. a classification I had some years in the past had an albino corn snake, and he substitute into often held 24 hours after feeding on a small sized mouse. He substitute into an person however, so as that form of meal substitute into extremely small for him. some care sheets say 24 hours is nice, yet individually i think of it somewhat is not long sufficient. maximum each care sheet, article, and e book I study recommends waiting a minimum of 40 8 hours after feeding in the past you ought to deal with your snake returned. i individually wait 40 8 hours, and that i've got by no ability had any issues waiting 2 days. i wish this e! nables, and good success!...Show more
