Lyndon Mattas: Ha Ha you are evil !!! I have a suggestion for something really quick that you wouldn't mind making. So every year it wouldn't be such a chore.... It's a crab/seafood dip. You'll even like it yourself if you like seafood that it. It's cheap, fast, tasty, only 6 little ingredients and you will get brownie points! This photo is with shrimp but I use crab instead it's better. About $12.http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3047/2615031366_dca...Seafood cocktail dipLarge pack of Louis kemp crab shredded(chop it small)1 small can of canned crab drained(cheap is fine)2 8oz Philadelphia Cream cheese softend1 tablespoon of sour cream optional only makes spreading lil easier2 jars seafood cocktail sauce(I like bennets, but use you favorite)1/4 finely chopped green onion tops or chives Box of town house or Ritz crackers or similar genericNow you can use shrimp instead of crab, the crab is just tastier to us.First mix the drained crab n louis Kemp shredded crab till mixed we! ll. So the flavors set while you are finishing everything.Mix cream cheese n sour cream till smooth, spread on a nice platter about 1/4 to 1/2" deep, pour a jar of the cocktail sauce over the cream cheese you just spread, you may use more than 1 jar depending on how big your platter is, now sprinkle the crab over the top...lastly sprinkle chopped green onion tops over the crab. Put a good spreading knife & crackers out with it. When the sauce disappears add the rest of the sauce to the top. They always seem to go for the sauce!!!...Show more

Serve with warmed pita wedges or crackers. 1 large eggplant1/4 cup tahini, plus more as needed3 garlic cloves, minced1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, plus more as neededLarge pinch of ground cuminSalt, to taste1 Tbs. extra-virgin olive oil1 Tbs. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley1/4 cup Kalamata olivesPrepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill. Preheat an oven to 375°F. Prick the eggplan! t with a fork in several places and place on the grill rack 4 to 5 inches from the fire. Grill, turning frequently, until the skin blackens and blisters and the flesh just begins to feel soft, 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer the eggplant to a baking sheet and bake until very soft, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and peel off and discard the skin. Place the eggplant flesh in a bowl. Using a fork, mash the eggplant to a paste. Add the 1/4 cup tahini, the garlic, the 1/4 cup lemon juice and the cumin and mix well. Season with salt, then taste and add more tahini and/or lemon juice, if needed. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and spread with the back of a spoon to form a shallow well. Drizzle the olive oil over the top and sprinkle with the parsley. Place the olives around the sides. Serve at room temperature. They come in pouches and they are about $2 bucks a pouch,. 4 of those will fill up a small crock pot.
