Delphine Cajka: If you've taken any grammar at all in school, you would know that one version is an adjective and the other is a noun. He drove a beat up car. I danced to the beat. Get it?
Madlyn Fallis: I'm not sure if this is question or just a funny statement. When you add alcohol to a drink it becomes an alcoholic drink. You're not called an alcoholic. You would be taking the word out of context.
Ninfa Asby: Stay in school!!
Ardelia Liptow: Because they are refering to the drink as containing alcohol they are not refering to the people drinking it.
Aldo Decurtis: Unfortunately, alcoholism is treatable being an idiot isn't. Narcotics aren't called narcotics because narcotic cops use them, it's all about the con! tents, dude.
Alberto Kozub: yes it is a very alcoholic drink (up to 40 to 47 % in alcohol in volume). It is made all over the world, from fermented molasses issued from sugar cane. The best rum comes from the Caribbeans the worst I ever tasted is here in the Philippines. Rum is used as such, or mixed with fruit juices to make cocktails and used in cookery to give taste to some pastries like "baba au rhum", it is used also to make dishes "flambé", in that last case, alcohol would be evaporated and only flavor would remain. In short, if you want to avoid drinking any alcoholic drink, avoid to drink any rum....Show more
Alma Twomey: because of the alcohol
Marcelle Vanlith: Because alcoholic in that sense is an adjective while when used to describe a person it is a noun. Think about other nouns that can also be adjectives.
Monty Sieloff: problematic step. do a search at yahoo or google. just that could help!
