Kristina Brockwell: It is the exact same thing.

Ronnie Sardi: I also believe they are probably one in the same, But, I use to understand that stuffing was actually placed inside the birds cavity to cook, and dressing was baked separately in a casserole dish.

Jana Sakasegawa: Perhaps it is the same, but referred to in different ways depending on what you use it for. Stuffing if you use it for the turkey, but dressing if you are eating it alone.

Dallas Bartolini: They are the Same thing, some folks say if you cook it outside the turkey it's called dressing and "stuffed" inside the turk! ey it's stuffing =) We call it stuffing in my family =)

Booker Moros: none

Hai Biggart: Nothing - they are interchangeable terms for the same thing.

Cody Shimko: They are pretty much used interchangeably but I believe dressing is outside of the bird or whatever and the stuffing is inside.

Jed Porada: "Stuffing" is cooked in the bird. "Dressing" is cooked in a separate pan outside the bird.

Brittanie Zakutney: they are the same thing; stuffing is "stuffed" in the turkey..and if you dont put it in the turkey;; its dressing
