Penelope Armond: What kind of shape is the car in and how much are you asking. My cars, I sell them by word of mouth only... but I also have complete maintenance records on them and I get top dollar. You are not going to get a lot of money out of a car if it looks bad (rust, dents, parts broke, etc.) My guess is you think it is worth about $2/3,000 more than it is.

Jeff Frizzell: 90% of the time cars dont sell because the seller is asking far more than the car is really worth. If you asked $5k you would have tons of phone calls. So lower your price or put it on eBay and let the market decide how much it is.

Brock Anwar: How muchg are you asking for it? Price is the only reason a car won't sell. If it's priced right you'll move it.Your car is worth about $7000. What is your asking price? Another thing to consider is the method in which you are trying to sell it. How much effort are you putting out and where are you advertising it! ? Craigslist and the AutoTrader are the two most active ad sites. Make sure you have several very good photos to accompany your ad and make sure your description is detailed and accurate and paints a positive picture of the car. Last but not least make sure your price is where it needs to be. Search for other Altimas in your area and see what they are going for.
