Debora Soliani: Usually if the car has not been ticketed after registration was due one can claim that it was in the shop getting fixed. Get the smog checked then get it registered.Good luck.
Sammy Hatzenbihler: Ask the Ca. DMV
Charissa Riley: A LOT. Like a BAZILLION DOLLARS a month. Seriously, at 16 you are right in the highest risk age group, as your age group tends to have more accidents and more severe accidents than any other age group. Insurance rates are set by many things, chief of which is your age, then your type of car, and any past mishaps or tickets. Your rate is also based on your geographical area as well, so if you live in an area that has a very high percentage of teenage wrecks, you'll pay even more. I can't ball park it but if your parents add you to THEIR policy, which they will have to do when you get a license, they will probably pay 100-200 or more dollars extra a month. Get a ticket and it'll be even higher. Get into a wreck and they co! uld get their policy canceled and you'd have to go with very expensive and high risk insurance....Show more
