Stanton Degregorio: Hardware engineering does not equal fixing computers or putting them together from stock parts. That's more a computer tech role - it's necessary but not as specialized or high paid as the people who actually create the hardware itself. Designing any component of a computer involves a lot of electrical engineering, which will involve a lot of complex math, and getting any of it to work will involve some programming.
